ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Appropriately incorporate innovative design ideas into new product development
Ensure timely and adequate completion of all design projects.

Position Title (1 of 3): Diesel Mechanic/Systems Expert

Compensation/Rate: Commensurate with application/experience

Position Summary:

Haven Harbour Marina Resorts in Rock Hall, Maryland is seeking a talented individual with marine diesel experience and a solid knowledge base in marine systems. The technician would inspect, maintain and repair all types of boats. They will diagnose issues onboard and will repair engines and generators, running gear, sanitation systems, refrigerators and freezers, air conditioners, electrical systems and accessories.

An ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience with applicable ABYC certifications – although all applicants are welcome. Haven Harbour Marina Resorts, award-winning Chesapeake Bay destinations for boaters and tourists, is seeking an Outboard Mechanic Apprentice. Experience with Yamaha and/or Mercury outboards is preferred. This individual will be sent to Yamaha and Mercury school, as needed. Daily tasks will include, but are not limited to, commissioning/decommissioning outboards, annual service, total re-powers, oil change/fuel filters, water pump changes and troubleshooting.

Position Summary:

Haven Harbour Marina Resorts in Rock Hall, Maryland is seeking a talented marine carpenter with an enthusiastic desire to restore custom marine woodwork. Duties include stripping teak and following a Cetol or Awlwood coating system, removing damaged toe rails, cap rails, interior cabinetry and milling new wood for replacement, removing leaking port lights or windows, as well as replacing and rebedding said items. The candidate would also have knowledge in marine wood construction, repair techniques and the ability to plan, estimate, layout and complete carpentry projects.

An ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience with applicable ABYC certifications – although all applicants are welcome. This position is full-time with competitive pay, paid time off, 401k with match, health insurance, life insurance and paid school training. A knowledge and interest in spraying Awlwood, Awlcraft or Awlgrip would be a bonus.
