We have a table at the Maine Hire A Vet Fair in Augusta, Maine. We are a great option for our veteran community, we are a hands on educational experience that is 8 months long and we can get you ready to re-enter the workforce and more specifically the marine industry. We accept VA Educational Benefits such as the GI Bill.

Join competitors, Brian Harris (Landing School alumnus) and Joe Harris as they co-host a presentation and panel discussions about their experience in the grueling double-handed round the world race.

Join The Landing School for this FREE event which is part of The Summer Evening Series! The Landing School will offer tours of the campus at 4:00pm followed by light refreshments and the film at 5:00pm.

Maiden is the story of how Tracy Edwards, a 24-year-old cook in charter boats, became the skipper of the first ever all-female crew to enter the Whitbread Round the World in 1989. Tracy’s inspirational dream was opposed on all sides: her male competitors thought an all-women crew would never make it, the chauvinistic yachting press took bets on her failure, and potential sponsors rejected her, fearing they would die at sea and generate bad publicity.
