We have a table at the Maine Hire A Vet Fair in Augusta, Maine. We are a great option for our veteran community, we are a hands on educational experience that is 8 months long and we can get you ready to re-enter the workforce and more specifically the marine industry. We accept VA Educational Benefits such as the GI Bill.

Produced by Maine Boats, Homes & Harbors magazine, the Maine Boat & Home Show will take place this year from Aug. 11-13 2023 on the waterfront in Rockland, Maine. The annual boat and home show shines a spotlight on boats, marine products, art, furniture, and other fine hand-made crafts, so it’s appropriate that the poster for the show, like the items on display, is a special work of art, said MBH&H Publisher Ted Ruegg. Maiden is the story of how Tracy Edwards, a 24-year-old cook in charter boats, became the skipper of the first ever all-female crew to enter the Whitbread Round the World in 1989. Tracy’s inspirational dream was opposed on all sides: her male competitors thought an all-women crew would never make it, the chauvinistic yachting press took bets on her failure, and potential sponsors rejected her, fearing they would die at sea and generate bad publicity.
