DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Expertly troubleshoot, diagnose and repair marine engines, transmissions and drivetrains, generators, stabilizers, electrical systems and electronics and common marine mechanical systems such as potable water systems and sanitation systems.
• Planning and installation of the above-mentioned systems
• Accurately and efficiently estimate projects
• Perform all work to ABYC standards
• Inspect boats and create detailed list of issues, potential issues, or areas of non-conformity to ABYC standards, and create recommendations so that our customers can have a carefree boating experience.
• Recommend and perform routine preventative maintenance, including fall decommissioning and spring commissioning processes
• Sea trial boats
• Maintain detailed records to document all work completed
• Maintain leading-edge knowledge of all marine systems and technology and stay abreast of upcoming trends.
o Be willing to attend trainings and seek out opportunities for gaining knowledge
• Test and adjust systems to meet manufacturer’s performance specifications
• Act as a technical resource for Marine Technicians I and II and offer training and suggestions to them

Must be open to working in the heat, cold, sun and rain and giving it your all.

Minimum age requirement is 20, current certifications in Lifeguard training (including first aid, CPR and AED), US Sailing level 1, waterfront lifeguard module, State of CT Personal Watercraft license. Lifeguard management experience is required. Possible recertification if needed in above certifications prior to start of camp. Work site is on Long Island Sound in New Haven, CT.

You must be available for the dates of June 16 to August 16 Monday thru Friday 8: 30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. There is pre work available in June to get the sailboats ready for the season that you will be paid for. (Max 40 hours)

Position Title: Electrical and systems tech

Compensation/Rate: 25 + per hour based on experience.

Location: Annapolis, MD

Position Summary:

Position located in Annapolis, MD. Must be willing to relocate to this location.

The ideal candidate will know and or be able to:

- Competent in all areas of boating electrical systems

- Install the most complex electrical systems on any vessel new or old

- Diagnose and repair electrical issues in both AC and DC circuits

- Willing to learn and advance one’s skill sets and knowledge base within the marine electrical trade.

- Have working knowledge of fuel systems both diesel and gas

- Fundamental basic understanding of AC and DC marine electrical systems competence.

- Willingness to learn about the installation, maintenance and repair of the Seakeeper, a gyroscopic stabilizer

- Solid time management skills.

- Proficient with NMEA 2K networks and troubleshooting

- High end audio system design, implementation and tuning.

- Self-motivated and self-starting individuals with a thirst for learning and advancing themselves with their abilities.

- Knowledge of plumbing systems and other onboard systems are a huge plus.

Our ideal candidate should have knowledge of ABYC guidelines as well as NEMA systems. A valid driver's license and clean driving record a necessity. Smartphone skills are a plus as well.

Position Title: Fiberglass and paint supervisor

Compensation/Rate: 32-45 per hour

Location: Annapolis, MD

Position Summary:

Our fiberglass and paint supervisor will have broad knowledge and the ability to train others on the job while performing their own duties and will be hands on in day to day repairs. They will be responsible for quality assurance, completion of projects on time and informing management as to the status of each project on a daily basis. The ideal candidate will have significant experience with the following:

- Lamination schedules
- Identification of resin and materials utilized during construction
- Identification of paint and gelcoats and will know the proper procedures for repair on each
- Knowledge of application of Awlgrip and other topcoat finishes and be able to execute their application.
- Knowledge of ABYC standards as well as their application.
- Core material identification and the proper uses for each.
- Knowledge of advanced composites, Carbon fiber and Kevlar) and manufacturing process and their repair process.
- significant experience in both fiberglass and paint repairs onboard boats.

Position Summary:

Workskiff Inc. is an industry leading manufacturer of workboats serving government entities and private enterprises. We specialize in vessels from 21-46 feet. A few of our clients include the US Navy, US Army Corps of Engineers, Pacific Gas and Electric, USDA, Coastal Bend Mooring, Boat Lifts International, and many more.

We are currently looking for Marine Design Contractors to help with overflow design work. This position would include working on a variety of vessels for a multitude of applications. Possibility for full-time employment.

Job Duties Include:
• Structural Design
• Scantling layout
• Cabin design and space layout
• Systems design and modeling
• 2D lofting and Nesting.
• Fabrication drawings
• Weekly/daily video calls or phone calls with manager and or customers

Applicants should have:
• At least 2+ years marine design experience, and a firm grasp of Rhino 3D and Orca.
• Experience drafting in AutoCAD.
• Aluminum Boat design
• Knowledge of ABYC standards
• Manufacturing/fabrication experience is desired but not required.
• CNC router and Press brake operation and processing desired but not required.
• CNC programming experience desired but not required.
• The ability to work remotely with a strong and stable internet connection.
• Or the ability to work onsite.
