The plan is to launch in early summer 2023, and to keep that schedule, we need help with first-time systems installation in this brand new boat. We also need some general carpentry work. It would be great if someone could do all of this, but perhaps you feel very comfortable with one particular aspect of the job. Please still get in touch, we could divide the work between those very skilled people.

Installation tasks would include:
—Nanni Diesel with remote filtration (guidance from the manufacturer is available), exhaust, through-hulls, hoses, shaft alignment, stuffing box
—12-volt batteries (LiFePO4 banks)
—12-volt electrical appliances (cabin lights, nav lights, cabin fans, nav gear, diesel heater, breaker panels, etc.)
—Plumbing for two sinks, bilge pumps, and a water maker

For all of these, a plan for placement will be in place and the equipment has already been purchased and is already in hand or on its way. The job here is to execute these plans and, if the candidate is able, to improve upon them and sweeten those plans as they go. We cannot provide housing on-site, but we can talk about what's possible in the area if you need to relocate for this temporary position.

THE POSITION
Boyne Boat Yard, a premier, full-service marine yard, is seeking a Marine Mechanical Technician to join our talented, energetic, and motivated team. We are open to all skill levels for this position but are looking for someone with an aptitude for mechanical work. THE POSITION
Boyne Boat Yard, a premier, full-service marine yard, is seeking a full-time Class A CDL Driver and Technician to join our talented, energetic, and motivated team. We are looking for someone who enjoys a workday with lots of variety. There are three primary roles of this position—Primary Boat Mover, General Yard Hand, and Service Technician. The team will rely heavily on this team member to jump in and fill in where they’re needed each day. As a member of our team, you will be expected to be eager and ready to learn about our company operations and processes. Duties and Responsibilities
• CDL Driver for Semi Truck and F-450s with Hydraulic Trailers
o Class A CDL License required, with clean driving record
o Primary boat mover on campus, safely moving boats in and out of storage
o Safely transport boats from campus to waterfront for hauling and launching
o Ability to meet all requirements and maintain Class A license

• General yard hand
o Load boats on hydraulic trailers
o Block and stand boats in buildings
o Assist travel lift operator in loading and unloading boats from hydraulic trailers
o Flex into areas as needed. It could be prepping boats for launch one day, shuffling equipment and stands another, or even helping deliver a boat to a customer’s dock.

• Service Technician
• Help out doing service work during off-seasons from launch and haul.
• Assists service writer and service manager to create a maintenance schedule for fleet of vehicles and equipment
• Perform service maintenance and inspections on fleet, including trucks, trailers, and equipment

Required Skills & Qualifications
• Class A CDL with clean driving record
• Extremely aware of surroundings

POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for all surface preparations and coating of the vessel, as well as preparing and finishing interior and exterior furniture.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES:
 Responsible for all surface preparations and coating of the vessel, including fairing, sanding, varnishing, painting, spraying and other finishing procedures.
 Prepare and finish interior and exterior furniture, joiner work and other components of the vessel
 Prepare and apply epoxy, linier polyurethanes, and other chemical applications
 Involved with supervising a small crew of painters

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
 3-5 years of experience in marine finishing preferred, including application of linier polyurethanes, or in high-end auto body shop finishing
 Must be familiar with brush and spray applications with strong emphasis on spraying skills using Awlgrip on hulls and decks
 Must have a keen understanding of the safety hazards and know how to work safely
 Responsible for understanding and exhibiting excellent work standards
 Attention to the highest quality standards is essential
 Must be team player
 Must wear personal safety equipment as required
 Must be able to wear a respirator

POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for the installation of electrical systems including navigation and computer components and may include custom metal fabrication, light machining and wood working for newly constructed vessels. Works with the Marine Systems Supervisor to ensure work schedules and timelines are up to date and being met.


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES:
 Responsible for the installation of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and other systems
 Ability to operate band saw, table saw, lathe, grinder/sander, drill press and hand tools.
 May be required to perform tasks including custom metal fabrication, light machining, wiring and woodworking.
 Ability to work within close tolerances and in small, confined spaces

REQUIREMENTS:
• Marine system experience or equivalent education and experience
• An understanding of 3-phase AC generation systems, AC switchboard control systems and DC charging and distribution systems
• Ability to work with hand and power tools
• Must be able to meet the requirements of the schedule and be a team player
• Must be able to wear personal protective gear

ESSENTIAL MENTAL FUNCTIONS:
• Ability to read and understand blueprints
• Ability to perform basic calculations
• Must be self-motivated, quality conscious and detail oriented
