Description:
We are looking for a highly talented Manufacturing Engineer to assist our team in developing efficient and effective ways to increase our throughput and improve processes. The right candidate will work with our Engineering and Production Management teams, is able to effectively communicate with various teams, and can keep pace with industry leaders pushing the limit. Key responsibilities:
• Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and workflows to identify areas that could benefit from changes and improvements, develop creative solutions, and implement with the production teams
• Apply working knowledge of product design and assembly to the manufacturing process
• Support production teams by providing relevant data from CAD models through direct instruction and documentation
• Contribute to interdepartmental meetings to ensure implementation of process improvements
• Develop and implement a work instruction program
• Define component specifications for mechanical systems during prototype development and capture for BOM development
• Generate production carts, jigs, fixtures, engineering models, drawings and Bills of Material
• Evaluate and design ergonomic workstations and material handling systems.
Qualifications
• BS in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related Technical field
• 3D CAD Modeling experience, preferably Rhino or Solidworks
• Experience in manufacturing/operations environments
• Some lean manufacturing experience preferred
• An energetic, forward-thinking and mentally-agile individual that can adapt to changing demands
• Has a strong operational focus, sound technical skills, analytical ability, and good judgment
• A well-organized and self-directed individual who is a team player.
• An intelligent individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization and has excellent communication skills.
• A good educator who is willing to share information and serve as a mentor.
