Position Title: Marine Mechanic
Compensation/Rate: $25.00-$35.00, based on experience and knowledge.
Location: Ipswich, MA
Position Summary:
Ripley Marine Repair & Boat Storage in Ipswich, Massachusetts is seeking a full time Marine Mechanic!
Looking for a knowledgeable, honest, trustworthy & reliable individual to add to our growing team!
Job Types: Full-time & Part-time
INDIVIDUAL REQUIREMENTS:
Full time: 8AM - 5PM, Monday - Friday, 8 hour shift
Valid driver's license & reliable vehicle.
Must be able to follow directions.
Must be able to work individually & as a part of a team.
Must be able to solve problems accurately & in a timely manner.
Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
QUALIFICATIONS:
Mechanical: 2 years (Required)
Driver's License (Required)
Work Location: One location
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Experience in winterization of a wide variety of boats.
Extensive knowledge of services on Inboards, Outboards, I/O’s.
Electronics Installation.
Accurately diagnose & repair problems with boats & motors.
Replacing broken or worn out parts.
Coordinate with parts management to ensure timeliness of job completion.
Document all work & parts on repair of boat.
Testing the performance of marine engines & electrical systems.
Work on land & occasionally on water; safely run boats for testing.
Assist with pickup & delivery of boats as needed.
OPPORTUNITIES:
Overtime (time + ½) during our busy season, if willing. (Now - Mid December)
Possibility of part-time hours during winter months.
Coming back for full time in spring.
