 Inspect product to ensure quality standards (check for bag failure, bridging, and aesthetic qualities) resolves alterations (if necessary) to molds.

Laminating

 Follow production schedule and perform operations necessary to produce items according to “work construction” and quality documents.

 Perform routine mold inspections and recommend when and what kind of repair may be needed to prevent damage to products.

 Assemble mold components as required for complex structures.

 Transfer build pieces to staging area for bagging operation.

Bagging/ Cook Operation

 Follow production schedule and perform operations necessary to “bag” items according to the product “work construction”.

 Uses assigned bagging material to produce most efficient and economic vacuum bag for parts delivered by Laminator or Laminator Lead.

 Test/ inspect bagged parts to achieve a high-quality level of vacuum (check for voids and punctures) and transfer into autoclave/ oven chamber.

 Set up autoclave/ oven program and operate for cure cycle as called for in build schedule.

Finish Work/ Painter

 Follow production schedule and perform operations necessary to finish items according to the product “work construction”.

 Produce and label containers of solvents, paints, and components for paint operation.

 Transfer containers to appropriate storage locations and update inventory status.

Assembles

 Follow processes according to “work construction” and quality documents.

 Inform Production Manager of quality flews.

 Assembles parts and additional hardware in accordance to build sequence instructions.

 Collect needed parts to match purchase order and prepare for shipping.

• Identifies correct software and modelling tools and techniques for complex designs and provides guidance to other CAD team members. 
• Supports CAD team members in developing task time estimates for work completion. Provides mentorship and guidance to CAD team members to ensure agreed task targets are met.
• Identifies and organizes CAD training necessary to meet project development requirements.

Candidate / Position Requirements
• U.S. Citizenship
• Education: Post-high-school education in Computer Aided Design. Additional experience will be considered in lieu of Computer Aided Design education.
• 10(+) Years of experience developing 3-D designs and 2-D drawings to commercial standards including 
(5+) years of relevant design, testing, construction or operations/maintenance of small craft.
• Knowledge of basic mechanical principles and practice. 
• In-depth understand of a required form, function, or underlying design principles of a concept and the ability identify the critical design/geometry elements. 
• Demonstrated working knowledge of 3-D geometry, surface and solid modelling Computer Aided Design (CAD) Software such as Rhino, Inventor, Multisurf, Maxsurf, and/or Solidworks.
• Demonstrated experience conceptualizing and developing artistic renderings of boats and craft to commercial standard using Renderings applications such as Flamingo or VRay.

• Strong Time Management and Organization Skills as an Independent Contributor.

• Working Conditions: Office environment with modern equipment. Ninety percent (90%) of time spent sitting.
