Position Title: Senior Marine Mechanic
Fiberglass/Paint Technician
Compensation/Rate: $20+ based on experience and overall attitude
Location: Annapolis, MD
Position Summary (1 of 2)- Senior Marine Mechanic:
Our ideal candidate should have knowledge of ABYC guidelines as well as NEMA systems. Smartphone skills are a plus as well. Applicants must love working outside with beautiful water views of Annapolis!
The ideal candidate must:
• Diagnose and repair engines
• Diagnose and repair electrical issues
• Have working knowledge of rigging systems for sailboats.
• Have working knowledge and some abilities with woodworking.
• Have some knowledge of fiberglass
• Be capable of diagnosing and repairing plumbing systems.
• Have working knowledge of all other systems
• Possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Position Summary (2 of 2)- Fiberglass/Paint Technician:
Our fiberglass department performs a multitude of activities that sets them apart from other organizations. We routinely handle major fabrication of fiberglass panels, structural and cosmetic repairs, as well as minor gel coat problems.
Most of our fiberglass staff is knowledgeable about the procedures for painting boats as well as having the ability to prime and repair paint issues. This is a full-time year-round position! We are excited to be able to bring on new team members that want to learn and grow. Smartphone skills are a plus as well. Applicants must love working outside with beautiful water views of Annapolis!
Preferred:
• Knowledge of and experience in fiberglass laminate layup and repairs.
• Knowledge of and experience in Awlgrip and other paint products application and repair.
• Knowledge of and proven ability to repair gelcoat and gelcoat color matching.
• Knowledge of and adhesion to ABYC guidelines.
• Ability to arrive on time from 7:30AM 4PM Monday through Friday is required.
• An attitude to get the job done correctly the first time.
• Be willing to be part of a team to ensure customer satisfaction.
Previous experience in repairs to marine fiberglass is a plus but we are willing to train the right person! Must be a fast learner.
