Position Title: Marine Technician

Job Description: Marine Technician
• Assist in and perform boat repairs
• Troubleshooting and repairing outboard engines, electrical systems, other boats systems, and trailers.
• Electrical, AC/DC, Marine plumbing/water system
• Troubleshoot electrical and electronic issues on boats, and then develop and implement effective solutions for a variety of issues.
• Marine electronics
• Travel off-site for mobile repair
• Verify completion of all items on estimate and inspect all finished work
Controlling Machines and Processes
• Operate forklift
Technical Skills
• Customer Service and good communication skills
• Quality Control: Conducting inspections of products or processes to evaluate quality
Physical Requirements
• Considerable periods of standing or walking throughout the facility to interface with associates
• Requires kneeling, crouching, stooping or crawling
• Requires lifting 50 lbs without assistance
Work Environment
Work is performed in a boatyard, which can subject workers to loud levels of noise, fumes, debris, tripping hazards and sharp metal edges. Personal protective equipment will be provided to staff, but personnel are responsible for ensuring that the equipment is properly used and for being aware of their surroundings.
