Compensation/Rate: 75K to 100K, Depending on experience, possible relocation to Washington State, great benefits package! Work schedule is 4 10 hour days, Fri/Sat/Sun OFF
Job Description:
Develop and design SAFE Boats International, LLC's high-performance aluminum boats. Combine marine design experience, 3D CAD skills and artistic talent to create functional and appealing product design for the law enforcement, military and private markets.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Design and 3D model new vessels in collaboration with engineers and naval architects
• Design and 3D model customizations to existing SAFE Boats vessel platforms
• Incorporates feedback from internal and external customers into designs
• Propose design solutions to meet performance requirements
• Develop and maintain bills of materials
• Reviews and understands specifications
• Reviews, audits and updates BOMs to synchronize with CAD data
• Provide support and guidance to Designer I and IIs preparing 3D models and documentation of vessel designs
• Research components and materials for new applications
• Prepare and study technical drawings, specifications to ensure conformity with standards and customer requirements
• Inspect completed installations and observe operations to ensure conformity with design and compliance with operational and safety standards
• Collaborate on research and development of new product and platform offerings and product enhancement initiatives
• Provide support to the business development and sales team in preparation and delivery of quotes and technical responses in support customer requirements
• Provide technical support for vessel construction
• Investigate and resolve production and quality problems, conferring with the appropriate personnel as required
• Perform other related activities as assigned
