Position Title: Trim Floor Carpenters/Installers
POSITION SUMMARY: These positions is responsible for the actual construction of the pre-made teak deck sections and trim work which after inspection is delivered to the customer.
Compensation/Rate: $16+
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
1. Using a work order, the proper amount, size and grade of teak wood is selected.
2. Through the use of templates, the teak is measured, cut and assembled using table saws, band saws, planers, circular saws, miter saws, belt sanders, and other hand tools, levels and measures.
3. Must maintain a daily job sheet to record project worked on, time and materials used.
4. Must keep work area clean, neat and organized.
5. Perform all other related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
1. High School or GED.
2. Must have five years basic carpentry experience or a certificate from an accredited carpentry training program.
3. Must be able to competently operate all hand, portable power and fixed woodworking power tools.
4. Must be able to measure and perform basic arithmetical calculations.
5. Ability to read work orders, templates, and photos.
6. Ability to communicate with co-workers and supervisors to discuss work projects, time-lines and any other work-related issues.
7. Ability to conceptualize a mirror image.

The employee is required to: Stand, bend, squat, reach with hands and arms, see, have good hand/eye coordination and walk. Hearing capability must be at a level where it would not pose a safety risk for the employee or others. Must be able to kneel for extended periods of time and have the ability to climb a ten foot high rolling step platform. Must occasionally move or lift up to 50 lbs.
