Position Title: Designer / Drafter
Compensation/Rate: $25-30/hr starting, DOE
Location: Port Angeles, WA
Position Summary:
BRIX Marine in Port Angeles, WA seeks a full-time Designer / Drafter to draft vessel components to meet customer, company, and regulatory specifications.

Job Description
Support Engineering and Sales tasks/outputs including:
2D drawing & 3D modeling of vessels, parts, and components;
marine systems design and schematics;
weight estimates/studies and performance predictions;
product and plan reviews before, during, and after construction.
Participate in regular/required meetings.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Marine design experience and knowledge of applicable regulations (e.g. ABYC, USCG) preferred
RhinocerosĀ® 6 proficiency or equivalent CAD program knowledge
Knowledge of / ability to perform naval architectural calculations preferred
MS Office proficiency
18+ years of age and legally authorized to work in the US

Environment
Work is performed in offices adjacent to a metal manufacturing environment. Noise level is occasionally moderate. Manual dexterity is required to use computer, phone, and peripherals. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit or stand. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
