Position Title: Composite Technician
Compensation/Rate: Based on Experience
Location: Bristol, RI
Position Summary:
Fast Forward Composites is a progressive composite fabrication company located in beautiful Bristol RI.
We are a passionate team of composite builders committed to the highest standards of composite fabrication. We specialize is custom composite structures and assemblies for the renewable energy sectors, automotive industry, marine, and defense.

Key Duties for this position will include:
• Working from engineering drawings, written work instructions and process specifications to fabricate composite structures and prototype components
• Prepreg and wet layup fabrication techniques, including vacuum bag processing, bonding, and oven/autoclave curing
• Resin Infusion
• Fabrication of tooling and master patterns from various materials such as epoxy tooling blocks, carbon fiber, and wood
• Working with small shop power tools (saws, routers, sanders, and grinders)
• Assembly of composite structures including setup, bonding, and fastener applications
• Process control in support of FFC’s ISO Quality Management System
Basic Qualifications:
• Basic understanding of composite fabrication and process control
• Ability and willingness to work within a collaborative team environment
• Motivated to learn and develop skillset in Prepreg lamination as well as Resin Infusion
• Ability to work in an organized and clean manner
• Ability to read and understand basic construction drawings and laminae schedules
• Proficiency with using the metric system
Desired Skills
• Composite material and Process development/fabrication experience.
• Experience Operating NC mills, routers and manually operating lathes, grinders, saws, and other various shop tools.
• Past experience in advanced composite fabrication and assembly
