Position Title: Boat Production & Technical Manager

Compensation/Rate: Competitive + Incentives

Location: Bristol, RI

Position Summary:

This key position oversees the heart and soul of Zim Sailing – Boat Production.
The best fit for this role is an experienced and proven manager, eager to be hands on in
operating and improving how we build boats.
In addition to managing the production line – technical direction is equally vital. This
means continuous improvement - incorporating technical feedback in house and to
suppliers. Our goal is the best product in the industry – one fleet of boats at a time.
Job Responsibilities Include:
 Oversee and manage all boat building activities
 Refine and improve any and all aspects of production as needed
 Maintain and update work processes, instructions, and construction manuals
 Monitor and report production progress weekly at Logistics Meeting
 Procurement planning & scheduling of needed supplies
 Production planning with our manufacturing partners, and quality feedback
 Evaluating new materials for quality and value
 Lead product refinement and development – continuous improvement
 Manage and track all aftermarket issues & their resolutions
 Organized, Lead and Motivate production staff and teams
Skills Required
 Previous experience managing production lines
 Technical problem solving & decision making
 Technical eye, focus on the details
 Clear communication in a production environment
