INSIDE THE AMERICA’S CUP
Recorded Live on December 10, 2020
The Landing School has a long history of supporting America’s Cup Teams. Join composites expert and President of The Landing School Richard Downs-Honey as he hosts a discussion with Sean Fawcett (Dean of Education and veteran of three America’s Cup design teams) and Mark Orams (a member of the successful 2000 Team New Zealand crew as well as multiple campaigns around the globe) to examine what the 36th event in New Zealand on foiling 70’ monohulls will be like. A week before the boats race each other for the first time in a feeder event, they will explain why they don’t tip over, how they sail faster than the wind, and they will analyze the design differences in the fleet to consider how these boats are actually sailed.
