RIchard Jaffe
Richard had the good fortune to grow up in an active sailing community. Sailing with his father on Long Island Sound and Lake Ossipee in NH sparked his interest all things maritime and he had many opportunities to combine his love of sailing with earning a living teaching sailing, racing offshore and working as a delivery captain.
Professionally he has been an executive at Macy’s Department Stores, worked in his family’s business, Dress Barn and after earning his MBA from Columbia Business School spent 25 years on Wall Street as an equity research analyst following the retail sector. While working on Wall Street taught an annual summer session at Columbia. In 2017 he accepted a position as adjunct professor teaching retailing and business at SUNY FIT, School of Graduate Studies.
Richard believes The Landing School’s unique educational proposition provides studies with the means to develop personally and to find fulfilling professional opportunities.
