Following a long and successful career in the world of finance, Jay retired as President and Portfolio Manager at Welch & Forbes where he worked for 33 years. He is now realizing his lifelong dream of living full time in Maine.

Jay is a graduate of Hamilton College where he earned his BA in English and History in 1975. He served on Hamilton’s Board of Trustees and is now a Trustee Emeritus. In addition, Jay is a member of the Chartered Financial Analyst Society, Boston Security Analyst Society, Boston Economic Club, Boston Estate Planning Council and is a Trustee and Member of Board of Investment, Dedham Institution for Savings.

An avid sailor, Jay began sailing and messing around in boats at the age of 6 and hasn’t stopped since! He is an active member and Past Commodore of Biddeford Pool Yacht Club.
