It’s a long way from Iowa to the CEO’s office at Sabre Yachts, but Aaron has charted that course successfully. As top executive and chief operating officer, the Des Moines native oversees Sabre’s manufacturing, customer service and engineering operations, while using his design skills to provide input on the company’s new powerboat models.

Those same skills, honed at The Landing School as a Yacht Design Program student, also served Aaron well before he joined Sabre in 2010. At Carroll Marine Ltd, he helped develop several One Design racing classes. Later, at Sparkman & Stephens Yacht Design, he managed sail and power yacht projects, with boats ranging from 48 to 130 feet LOA. Then he helped Outerlimits Offshore Powerboats transition to new epoxy construction processes, overseeing 100 percent growth in sales and throughput during his tenure while being involved in two offshore powerboat world title campaigns.

Today Aaron continues to indulge his passion for boats with offshore sailing, racing and motor yachting. He lives on the coast of Maine with his wife and two daughters.
